Saturday, June 9, 10:30 a.m. While discussing class ideas with artist and potter Deb Betz, we got to talking about small planters that could be staked into soil in pots or garden beds. Deb jumped on the idea and created adorable Planter Boats. These playful garden stakes can hold a small plant and dress up a houseplant or outdoor planter. They are the right size for succulents, tillandsia or look cool as colorful additions to your garden. Deb will teach you to form planters from clay and you will make three Planter Boats. After they are formed you will add color with glaze, then Deb will take your Planter Boats home to fire and attach the stakes with a sturdy material she’s just discovered. Your boats will be back in the shop for pick up in about two weeks. This is a four-hour workshop.
Cancellation policy: No refunds or store credits will be issued if you can’t attend a class. Instructors work far in advance to prepare materials for class and they are paid whether or not you come. No exceptions.
