Sunday, April 15, Noon to 3 pm. Not a week goes by that a customer doesn’t tell us what good luck they’ve had Gregory Ware’s locally grown organic plants. This is a super time to slip some plants into the soil that will thrive in the warm months. Gregory will be at Southwest Gardener with organic, hearty vegetables. For this sale you will find all kinds of cucumbers – pickle, slicers, heirloom and modern varieties. Also Armenian (which are actually melons) and lemon cucumbers. There will also be melons, including Gregory’s favorite variety the Minnesota midget. He will also have lots of summer and winter squash plants. We are excited about the winter squash variety with shorter vines and smallish fruit – it’s a space saver for those of us with limited gardening beds. Come and pick up a selection of plants that will carry your garden well into the summer months. It will be a busy Sunday here so please feel free to park in the lots across 3rd Avenue or in the light rail lot across Camelback (where there is shade!).
