Sunday, November 17, Noon. SOLD OUT. Making tamales for the holidays is a favorite tradition in the Southwest. Not only are they delicious, cooking tamales is a well-loved group activity for family and friends. Join cooks Gregory Ware and Dennis Reinhardt to learn about this tasty tradition. You will learn about masa, form your own tamales and master the corn husk wrapping. Gregory and Dennis are excited to share tips about the many stuffings that can make yummy tamales. You will make six green corn tamales to take home. They can be steamed for dinner that night or frozen for future nibbling. Your workshop will be capped off with a savory lunch of green corn and beef tamales, Spanish rice and pinto beans. You’ll want to come hungry! Plan on a three-hour class.
Cancellation policy: No refunds or store credits will be issued if you can’t attend a class. Instructors work far in advance to prepare materials for class and they are paid whether or not you come. No exceptions.
