Saturday, March 10 & 25, 10:30 a.m. – Workshop is two sessions – Ceramic artists Musette Young and Deb Betz are teaching a workshop that offers an iconic way to celebrate our Sonoran desert. Their prickly pear ceramic wreath will look right at home on a garden wall or patio or it can be the perfect indoor accent. Deb and Musette will take you through the process of using clay to create prickly pear pads that you will accent with clay flowers and fruit. You make all the part by hand. Then they will take the assembled wreath to be kiln fired and return it for you to glaze two weeks later. Your project will go back to the kiln for a final firing and be returned for pick up in about two weeks. Your finished wreath will measure about 15 inches in diameter. Plan on two class sessions of three hours each.
Cancellation policy: No refunds or store credits will be issued if you can’t attend a class. Instructors work far in advance to prepare materials for class and they are paid whether or not you come. No exceptions.
