Saturday, June 2, 10:30 a.m. Are you are ready to make the move from orchid admirer to orchid grower? Good, because experts Julie Rathbun and Wilella Stimmell will be here from the Orchid Society of Arizona to share their knowledge of orchids and assist you in planting a beautiful Phalaenopsis. Better known as Moth Orchid, it is by far the most popular and best suited for home growing out of 20,000 orchid varieties. Plants, pot and planting medium are included in this class. You will need to bring a pie pan (preferably glass, which can often be found in thrift stores.) Wilella and Julie with teach you the care and watering of your orchid, guidelines for repotting and how the needs or your orchid plant differ from that of traditional houseplants. We must warn you, though, it’s possible you may become addicted to these beautiful plants. This is a one and one-half hour class.
Cancellation policy: No refunds or store credits will be issued if you can’t attend a class. Instructors work far in advance to prepare materials for class and they are paid whether or not you come. No exceptions.
