Saturday, January 18. Choose a time: 1 p.m. 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. Chilly January temperatures and short winter days bring the mood that the Danish call hygge, pronounced “hue-ga.” It’s a time to snuggle, find comfort and contentment at home, maybe with some hot apple cider or bowl of freshly made applesauce. Basically, it’s like giving yourself a big hug! Our favorite cook and apple peeler Tanya Chakravarty will be here to share her secrets for making hot cider (with or without alcohol) along with sweet, cinnamon-tinged applesauce. This is a half-hour lesson. Choose a time and plan on some tasty sampling. Then head home with Tanya’s favorite cider and applesauce recipes and plan to hibernate a bit.
Cancellation policy: No refunds or store credits will be issued if you can’t attend a class. Instructors work far in advance to prepare materials for class and they are paid whether or not you come. No exceptions.
