Saturday, September 14, 10: 30 a.m. This time of year our gardens are full of heat-loving herbs. Join our favorite cook and mixologist Tanya Chakravarty to explore interesting ways to incorporate basil, thyme and rosemary into meals and beverages. Tanya will show you how to save herbs for use out of season and she’ll explore tasty variations of pesto that are easy to whip up. The best part of this workshop is when Tanya shares and demonstrates her spin on amazing basil/tomato chicken, rosemary syrup (and the incredible cocktails you can make with it), thyme-spiked veggies and a few other surprises. There will be plenty of sampling and you’ll go home with a new appreciation for your herbs along with some surprise dishes you can offer friends and family. This is a two-hour workshop that will make you think you’re in an episode of “Chopped” or “Good Eats”.
Cancellation policy: No refunds or store credits will be issued if you can’t attend a class. Instructors work far in advance to prepare materials for class and they are paid whether or not you come. No exceptions.
