Why We Love Fermob Furniture
- It’s seriously comfortable
- Bright, lively colors for desert living
- Weather resistant, durable
- Portable, easy to move
- Sexy curves, sleek design – these pieces have style!
With its huge range of styles and colors, Fermob furniture brings real style and color to your outdoor space, be it patio, pool, high-rise deck or secret garden. The beautiful designs draw you outside to sit back, relax and enjoy nature. Fermob offers an amazingly fresh look from a company that’s been in business for more than 100 years.
But that’s just one part of the furniture’s appeal. Fermob has a 13 step treatment process that protects against corrosion. Each piece is painted with a 100% polyester DuPont powder paint that is guaranteed anti-UV to ensure that Fermob furniture never losses its color. Protecting and preserving the outdoor environment is a priority for the company, so each piece of Fermob is recycled and completely recyclable, from the aluminum or steel metal frames to the powder-coat finishes and even the PVC-coated polyester outdoor technical fabric.
Folding furniture, developed at the end of the 19th century, was immediately popular among lemonade sellers of the day, as it was quick and easy to pack away, which allowed them to avoid paying the license for a permanent terrace. Fermob developed the Bistro line from the original model described in the “Simplex” patent registered in 1889 – and of which the brand is now the trustee – and produced an ingenious, simple collection that is bursting with joy and which has lost none of its charm and authenticity.
Bistro continues to delight today, with its distinctive chairs and 10 table formats – including round, square and rectangle – to mix and match. Pair two colors and dress up your patio or even a breakfast room. Bistro is lightweight, easy to move, simple to store and put away, if necessary.
Take a look outside and consider all the beautiful possibilities for your perfect room!
Modern Mania: The Sixties
The compact and curvy Fermob Sixties collection perfectly embodies the Fermob attitude: Forever young and laid back. With welcoming curves, a colorful aluminum frame, a resin seat that’s very comfortable and airy woven patterns, Sixties promises gentle moments at home.
Sixties furniture features an aluminum tube frame in a powder coat finish that coordinates with the color of the unique seat: a surprisingly comfortable cocoon of criss-cross woven resin. We can imagine sipping a dirty martini or old fashioned and listing to the “The Girl From Impanema” on the hi-fi. Don Draper would be proud.
Luxembourg Invites You To While Away The Hours
Fermob’s Luxembourg collection is inspired by the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris. When Frédéric Sofia designed his modern update of the classic seating in Luxembourg Garden, his aim was to “invite one to idle away the minutes and the hours in one’s own secret garden.”
Equally suited to a secret garden in the center of Paris or your own backyard, this timeless collection was based on those iconic chairs and benches that have populated the historic public garden since the 1920s. The result is a collection with the same distinctive lines and forms, combining the lightness and resistance of aluminum with the comfort of curved seat slats. We are especially excited about the rocking chair, which can be ordered in a number of colors.
This line is so popular that even the local eateries, Grassroots, True Food and North Trattoria have added the brightly colored chairs to their patios. Add a little bit of Paris charm to your garden!
Fermob outdoor furniture is made from top-grade steel or aluminum and the craftsmanship, style and rainbow of colors available have made this the outdoor furniture of choice for high-profile locales throughout the U.S., including Times Square, both Google and Apple headquarters, and in many big-city parks, so you know it’s durable and weather proof.
Alizé is a collection that attracts you with its design, but wins you over in extreme comfort. We particularly love the chair with footrest which makes it perfect poolside. Designed by Pascal Mourgue, this award-winning collection is a lesson in lightness: lightness of materials, with an aluminum frame combined with durable outdoor technical fabric, and lightness of lines, with its extremely clean and crisp curves. We’re going to show you this chair/footrest set in aubergine at the shop, but Fermob offers it in six additional colors. Just try and resist!
